The Reindeer Games

The winner of the first annual Golden Christmas Tree will also be able to pick one event that the parents will compete in on Christmas Eve. 

Events

Girls vs Boys decorating your trees!

  • Best looking – 2 points.
  • Fastest – 1 point.

Carry a single potato in between your legs, and without using your hands, drop the potato in the bucket. Carry only one potato at a time. 

  • Individual Sport.
  • Timed – 3 minutes.
  • Winner – 3 points
  • 2nd – 2 points
  • 3rd – 1 point

 

Blindfolded, spin around a roll of wrapping paper then pin the nose on the reindeer.

  • Individual Sport.
  • Winner – 3 points.
  • 2nd – 2 points.
  • 3rd – 1 point.

Ten tosses each, and the most rings on the antlers wins.

  • Individual Sport.
  • Winner – 3 points.
  • 2nd – 2 points.
  • 3rd – 1 point.

Teams of 2 – odd man out can choose Gaga or Kirby. Pick up a candy cane using another candy cane in your mouth. Carry your cane to your partner, and pass it to them. The partner must carry the cane and drop it in your empty bucket. First to 3 wins.

  • 2nd – 2 points.
  • 3rd – 1 point.

Individuals or team must perform a karaoke song and dance video in costume.

Appetizer - Christmas Tree Spinach Bread Dip (Kaylee)

  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 12 oz Spinach
  • 1/4 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tube Crust pizza crust, refrigerated thin

  • 2 tbsp Butter

  • 1 cup Cheddar or mozzarella cheese, grated

  • 6 oz Cream cheese

  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Appetizer - Fish & Chips (James)

Should be simple enough.

Appetizer - Sausage Stuffing Balls (Luke)

See recipe. Not the same as meat cookies, but a little easier to make.

  • 1 lb Jimmy dean sausage
  • 1 (6oz) box Stovetop stuffing
  • 3 cups Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Sides - Broccoli & Cheese, Peas (Lindsey)

  • 24 oz broccoli florets
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup Cheez Whiz
  • 1/4 cup Monterey
  • Jack cheese grated
  • 3 TBSP milk

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups heavy/whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups freshly grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
